We need your children's help!
Get the kids involved this June. We're running a design competition and we need their help. They could win one of our fantastic Explorer Kits AND get their winning design made up in our Workshop and even sold on our website!
We want them to design a new wildlife-friendly village, town or community sign. The winning design will alert visitors to the local area and demonstrate the focus towards wildlife. It can have words and pictures on it, but try to keep it simple as we're going to recreate it in wood using a laser-cutter!
The winning design might feature a picture of a hedgehog, and ask people to drive slowly. Or it might explain why no one has strimmed their dandelions! Or perhaps it might have a picture of a nesting bird as an explanation for uncut hedgerows.
What do we want them to do?
Here's what we're looking for:
- A black and white design, drawn on paper and then photographed or scanned.
- Or you could design it digitally.
- The wording and design is up to you. You might want to focus on hedgehog highways, or wildflower verges, or uncut lawns.
- Either way, the sign would be suitable for a village or town to display and demonstrate to visitors how important wildlife is to them.
You can read more about Risby here, which is an example of a wildlife-friendly village.
Send your entries before the end of June to email@example.com with the Subject Line: Competition Entry. And best of luck!
